Pinoy Fear Factor is known on its original format as Fear Factor Extreme (FFX). Pinoy Fear Factor is hosted by Ryan Agoncillo, an actor, tv host, and a respected sports man.

Pinoy Fear Factor is only a franchise of Fear Factor Extreme that is why it is not allowed to set the location in the Philippines. All stunts will be set at Argentina, with 12 Filipino participants that will bang their skills and energy to get the biggest prize in reality game show history. The winner in Pinoy Fear Factor will get P2 million with accumulated prize around US$50,000 plus a newly furnished house and lot. Pinoy Fear Factor winner will also held as the The Ultimate Participant - Ang buhay sa likod ng katapangan.
