Retired Marine General James L. Jones Jr. is the leading candidate for the US National Security Adviser of President Barack Obama and it seems to be Democrat party like General James L. Jones.

General James Logan Jones, Jr. (Ret.) was born on December 19, 1943 and has been retired in the United States Marine Corps last year February 1, 2007. General James L. Jones serve the marine at different division. General James L. Jones was the head of NATO and U.S. forces in Europe in the year 2003-2006, Jones was also United States European Command Commander in the same year.

When General James L. Jones retired to his position he was given the position as the Secretary of United States special envoy for Middle East Security. President Barack Obama wants General James Jones to get a high position to serve in his administration.

Retired Marine General James L. Jones Jr. is the latest Chairman of the Atlantic Council of the United States and still reviewing the offer.
