Sun And Moon 2008 Total Solar Eclipse

The umbra is the dark inner shadow and the penumbra is the faint outer shadow. The path of totality is the path that is traveled by the umbra and anyone located on it can see the total eclipse. Anyone who is in the vicinity of the umbra in the penumbra is able to see the partial eclipse.

A dark shadow will sweep across the surface of the planet in a broad arc as the Moon passes directly between the Earth and our star.

The eclipse start at Canada's and ends in northern China's Silk Road region, while some parts of northern Russia will experience dark for 2 minutes, 27 seconds from, Britain, Europe, Asia and north-eastern North America experience partial eclipse.
