Meltwater of Greenland Drain Faster Than Niagara Falls


Giant lakes of meltwater pooled on top of Greenland's ice sheets flows into a overflow channel leading to a moulin, can suddenly drain to the bedrock, allowing the sheet to more easily slip forward. This giant lakes of meltwater on top of the ice sheet can suddenly drain at a rate faster than the flow of Niagara Falls, a new study found.
